here u go guys - i'm going to do the original post and then another under it w/ add'l info i found and better links: : found from another site (ot.net). : Basically someone was showing a review of a product called P21S (i actually have some of that paint cleanser and i'm sure many of you know of this product. Just read what i found and the pics they posted: : Wanna know my secret wax for high end cars and how to get it cheap? : Guru Reports recently tested 46 different waxes and only one got an 'A' for appearance. Not Meguiars, not Pinnacle, not Zymol and not Zainos (all got B to B+ scores). The wax that was top in appearance was P21S, a German wax developed by the same guy who developed Pinnacle Souveran (which runs $69.99 for 8 oz). P21S normally goes for $24.95 through high end automotive shops and on line car care outlets. : The dirty little secret is that the same exact wax is sold at Harley-Davidson dealers under the name S100 for $14.95. The wax is the same, the container is the same except for the name of the product. The only reason I can think of it being cheaper is that one container could probably wax a bike more than 50 times, so the average bike owner would never come close to using a whole jar of it and probably wouldn't pay full price for something they will never use all of. : The Harley dealers also sell the S100 paint cleanser which is a real good light polish. The cutting power seems to be between Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0 and Show Car Glaze. That runs about $8.95, a dollar less than the P21S paint cleanser. : Here is a little pic so you can see the shine you can get: : : Here is the fender of a Bentley Continental SC with S100 applied: : : here's a site for the P21: : [ http://www.properautocare.com/p21spastewax.html ] : and here's a place i (wagz) just bought 3 of the S100 containers: : [ http://www.harley-davidson.com/pna/...tab=sell&page=2 ] : another guy who bought the S100 and tried it and posted the results: : here is a guy who did his bike: : : and another: : "I just did a small section to starts, since it is still sunny. All I can say is Went on and came off so easy too...." : : : the main guy who posted this also went on to recommend this: : 2) You can layer S100 since it is a pure wax. This means each succesive layer will deepen the shine. I used two initial coats on mine and then waxed it again two weeks later...Imprezza 13 can attest to the shine on my car since he saw it today in person.
: 3) Depending on where you live, the weather, any acid rain (which we do not get in Dallas), etc S100/P21S should last a good 8-12 weeks. Zainos will last 6-9 months, so again, if durability is your prime concern, check out Zainos. The good thing about P21S/S100 is that it is so easy to use, you won't mind waxing every couple of months if needed...and anyone who has already tried it can certainly back me up. : 4) P21S/S100 comes with it's own foam applicator and I recommend microfiber towels as the first choice to remove it followed by soft terry cloth (bath) towels. You can get microfiber towels at Autozone (made by Turtle Wax) 2 for $4.99. You won't regret the investment-just buy a package or two every time you go to the autoparts store and after a few months you will have more than enough to clean your car. Microfiber towels do not lint (don't wash them with anything you know sheds lint, btw) and they are unbelievably soft. : 5) To those using Meguiars 3 step products...please stop! It isn't junk, but they have stuff that is so much better. Stick with Meguiars Mirror Glaze line and you will get better results. : Personally, the first time I used S100, I polished my car with Meguiars Swirl Free Polish (their Body Shop Pro line, Mirror Glaze equivalent is Swirl Remover #9 2.0), then used the S100 Paint Cleanser then applied 2 coats of S100. : [ http://autopia.ws/forums/index.php ] is an excellent one. Use the search button and you will find answers to almost anything you want to know. : BTW, I have a link on my site that shows the shine of P21S/S100, Pinnacle Paste Glaz and Pinnacle Souveran: : [ http://www.scottwax.com/shine.htm ] : figured this might help some people and also be a good buy since u can get the stuff for $15 bucks rather than like $25-30.
